I’ve learned from National Geographic magazine that the initial attraction between two people is induced by the ‘dopamine levels’ increased from the brand new stimulation. That explains a lot about love being blind, and why some people behave in crazy unreasonable ways, because they are ‘in love’. But when the levels of dopamine fade, long term attachment seems to depend on the ‘oxyticim levels’. If the attachment doesn’t happen then it’s natural to keep on the endless search for that ‘dopamine high’ somewhere else, that uncontrollable passion that is unique to the very beginning… hop hop like bunnies out of jail. The last time I’ve checked my ‘dopamine levels’ were good. My ‘oxyticim levels’ are strong. We are a walking breathing biochemistry lab….
